Embrace who you are.
My whole life, it used to seem like I was striving to be something great: from obtaining great grades in school, to securing a worthwhile, respectable career … I’ve spent a huge chunk of my life trying to become “memorable.”

So, when I first read the above quote, it slapped me right across the face. It was like that scene in the movie “Moonstruck” (do you remember this?) where Loretta slaps Ronny and tells him to “Snap out of it!”
And what does this even mean to un-become? Well, maybe it’s time for me to let go of some of the expectations I’ve piled upon myself. Maybe it’s time to embrace who I am as a human being, and to stop stressing about what I’m doing. Hmmm. Food for thought.
Question: Are you placing too much emphasis on what you do?
Food For Thought: Do you think it’s O.K. for you just to “be” who you already are?
Challenge: Can you remember a time when you were doing something that made you happy? If so, what was it you were doing? Can you find a way to do more of that?
